WALES WIN THE SHOOTOUT

The Ultimate Pool Group is delighted to announce that Wales has joined the Ultimate Pool Team. The Ultimate Pool Wales franchise will be running their own tour events under the Ultimate Pool umbrella in a landmark announcement for Welsh pool. Scott Ryan, Ultimate Pool Commercial Director said: “Wales throughout the years has produced some of the greatest pool players of all time. It’s fantastic to see Wales as a franchise and we hope that this can complement the stellar work being done by the WEF. The recent showing in the World Championships was a great indication of the potential and Ultimate Pool is delighted to be a part of this journey.” When we spoke to Zak Shepherd who is Head of Operations for Ultimate Pool Wales he made the following statement: "When the opportunity to lead Ultimate Pool Wales was presented to me, it was too good of an opportunity to pass up. Over the years some of the best English 8 ball players in the world have originated from Wales (including two multiple World Champions in Rob Mckenna and Tom Cousins). Now having been privy to what Ultimate Pool are doing in the background and having knowledge of their plans. It’s not only exciting but also exhilarating to see how we can really develop the game to its full potential within our fine country for all categories and abilities. We are pleased to be working alongside the Welsh Eightball Federation on this journey, the official governing body for international pool in Wales."
